With facebook, Wordpress and Telus

Well, it took me a month to iron out the kinks (and there are still a few small ones left) but I can finally take gig photos with my phone and upload them instantly to our facebook account AND link them to our website/blog.

This is pretty cool because, while I do take a lot of still photo, audio and video footage at our gigs, it can take a while to get around to posting it online which is just not helpful.

Now, I can take footage of our performances and the crowd and have them appear on my personal facebook site and the Tell Mama website within minutes. Visit http://www.tellmama.net/blog/photos/mobile-uploads/ to see our mobile uploads - I will be sending photos from every gig we play.

I have also set up a facebook page for Tell Mama where Tell Mama fans can upload photos and video footage they may have - wouldn’t that be fun?! At this point, facebook doesn’t actually allow me to pull my mobile uploads photo album from my personal site and place them on my band page without but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time. I will still be placing photos here but it will have to be the old fashioned way.
